Spooky Runo

Hello! My name is Spooky. I am a hairdresser with over 10 years of experience. I originally trained in Chicago and I have lived and worked in London since 2016. I am not only a colour specialist, but I have also educated hairdressers from all over the world and whilst at my previous salon was head of internal colour education. 

Wanting to give my clients a more personal and pampering experience, I have moved into my own private studio located in East London. 

My ethos as a hairdresser has always been to help people through the transformative power of hair. The world puts so much pressure on all of us to look a certain way, to be perceived as beautiful, attractive, or valuable. We are constantly told to fit into a box and conform, whether that is to gender norms, society’s idea of what is or is not acceptable, whitewashed standards of beauty, you name it… My personal mission in life is to help people feel amazing, beautiful, and powerful in their own way.

I think the best part of my job is getting to meet so many amazing and wonderful people everyday and trying to help them see the beauty that they hold inside and out. We all have value, we are all beautiful, and we should all be allowed to express ourselves as individuals. Your hair is an expression of your individuality and my goal is to make my clients feel like the best version of themselves.
